چکیده
Active contour models (ACMs) are the most widely used method for image segmentation. However, global fitting ACMs cannot effectively segment inhomogeneous images and local suffer from noise initial position of contour. To overcome these shortcomings, we propose a novel ACM that consists mainly term, an edge-based term external force term. The Jensen-Shannon divergence (JSD) based is implemented to address intensity inhomogeneity. formulated on Caputo-Fabrizio (CF) fractional-order Gaussian derivatives applied compute weighted area region inside patch-based designed improve robustness developed further proposed model noise, input first replaced with its robust statistics. Experimental results demonstrate not only but also effective in dealing

An edge-based active contour model using an inflation/deflation force with a damping coefficient
This publication presents an edge–based active contour model using the inflation/deflation force, allowing active contour nodes to be moved to find object boundaries in a digital image. The methods proposed in this study make it possible to keep a high value of the inflation/deflation force for each node until the node approaches the boundary of the analysed shape. After the boundary searched f...
متن کاملSynchronization of Microgrid Considering the Dynamics of V2Gs Using an Optimized Fractional Order Controller based Scheme
In this work, a new control scheme for synchronization of AC microgrids with upstream power grid is presented. The effects of V2Gs (vehicle to grid) dynamics on synchronization process is studied. This new control approach is based on the optimal fractional calculus and has been developed for synchronization of the microgrid. The V2Gs effect on the dynamics of the microgrid is analyzed through ...
متن کاملRobust contour-based object tracking integrating color and edge likelihoods
We present in this paper a novel object tracking system based on 3D contour models. For this purpose, we integrate two complimentary likelihoods, defined on local color statistics and intensity edges, into a common nonlinear estimation problem. The proposed method improves robustness and adaptivity with respect to challenging background and light conditions, and can be extended to multiple cali...
متن کاملBovine Iris Segmentation Using Region-based Active Contour Model
Iris recognition is one of the most reliable and accurate biometric technologies, as the richness and apparent stability of the iris texture make it robust. Iris segmentation is a critical part in iris recognition, because it defines the inner and outer boundaries of iris region which is used for feature analysis. Active contour model, also known as snake, is a powerful image segmentation techn...
متن کاملUnideal Iris Segmentation Using Region-Based Active Contour Model
Robust segmentation of an iris image plays an important role in iris recognition. Most state-of-the-art iris segmentation algorithms focus on the processing of the ideal iris images that are captured in a controlled environment. In this paper, we process the unideal iris images that are acquired in an unconstrained situation and are affected severely by gaze deviation, eyelids and eyelashes occ...
